Description
As a Senior Technical Artist, you’ll partner up with other Genpop leadership to create and execute on a vision for our slime-centric AAA shooter. This includes building a Technical Art team to produce truly unique next-gen content that is performant on multiple platforms. You’ll lead this tech art team, providing direction, feedback, and coaching to maximize their potential. Responsibilities
- Build a technical art team to help realize the creative vision of our AAA shooter
- Define, create, and optimize tools and pipelines for our different art teams
- Work with the technical, rendering, and art teams to create and enforce the art budget
- Responsible for direction, reviews, and quality expectations for shader and particle FX
- Support content creators with the necessary tools
- Troubleshoot technical art issues
- Work with other remote developers from different disciplines to identify, plan and deliver content
Qualifications
- A portfolio that demonstrates AAA-quality technical art skills
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- 3+ years experience in video game development
- Experience shipping game projects
- An understanding of performance trade-offs
- Familiarity with video game content pipelines
Nice to Have
- Experience with Technical Animation
- 5+ years experience in video game development
- Familiar with Unreal Engine 4/5
- Experience with asset creation tools like Maya, Blender or 3ds Max
- An active interest in eSports
