Who We’re Looking For:
We’re searching for a talented 2D Artist to create captivating illustrations for Bladesong, our upcoming narrative RPG and swordmaking game. Your work will help bring the rich, dark world of Bladesong to life.
Project Overview:
Bladesong is set in a medieval, low-fantasy world—dark, bleak, and steeped in atmosphere. The game takes place primarily in and around Eren Keep, one of humanity’s last bastions. The artwork will focus on mood, composition, and lighting, with visible brushstrokes that emphasize the artistic essence rather than hyper-detailed realism.
Responsibilities:
- Full-Screen Illustrations: Create impressive location artwork, multi-layered for subtle parallaxing and animation effects.
- Event Illustrations: Create smaller, focused artworks depicting key events, displayed alongside text-based dialogue/narration.
Style Requirements:
- Emphasis on visible brushstrokes with a focus on composition and lighting.
- Aesthetic that evokes the dark, medieval atmosphere Bladesong is aiming for.
- Not seeking hyper-detailed or photorealistic styles.
Examples:
Terms:
- Freelance work, paid per commission.
- Start date: Required immediately/January 2025.
- Opportunity for continued collaboration throughout 2025 if both parties are satisfied.
- Strictly no AI in any part of the artistic process.
