About the Role
We're seeking a talented Senior Unity Engineer to join our game development team. You'll be working on our multiplayer 2D action combat game, collaborating with our lead engineer and other team members to create engaging gameplay experiences that seamlessly integrate with blockchain technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement game features using Unity and C#
- Create clean, maintainable, and performant code for our 2D action combat game
- Collaborate with artists and designers to implement game assets and mechanics
- Contribute to the optimization of game performance across target platforms
- Work with our backend team to integrate backend/web3 features
- Implement networking features for multiplayer functionality
- Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers
- Help establish and maintain technical standards and best practices
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional Unity development experience
- Strong proficiency in C# and Unity's core systems
- Extensive experience with 2D game development in Unity
- Solid understanding of game optimization techniques and performance profiling
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and spoken communication and collaboration abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Fishnet, Photon or Unity Netcode for game objects
- Experience with integrating backend system through REST APIs
- Experience developing backend systems with .NET/C#
- Experience working with databases like Mongo or Postgres
- Experience blockchain gaming or Web3 technologies
- Experience with WebGL Games
- Familiarity with combat systems and action game mechanics
