Job Responsibilities:
Digital Village (DV) is a recomposition of social media, gaming, and e-commerce. DV is the first real-time sustainable Multiplayer Metaverse built on Unreal engine connected to its Social Marketplace, which merges the physical and digital world with its social graph blockchain interface, Village Protocol, and allows real utility of digital assets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain an efficient workflow to help multiple designers/architects collaborate to design the world simultaneously, either by Unreal Multi user editing on the cloud using perforce version control or any other ways.
- Help Designers rebuild assets in Unreal and improve the avatar system.
- Integrating marketplace into gameplay and develop for desktop, mobile and web (pixel streaming).
- Design client-server gameplay code in Unreal Engine and C++ environments and plan how the pieces will work together on AWS gameplay servers.
- Extend engine source code as needed, and optimize CPU, GPU, and memory use.
- Ensure that engine code continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing.
- Document every aspect of this system as reference for future maintenance and upgrades.
- Manage and collaborate with a remote team of unreal developers, technical artists and designers. Other duties may arise from time to time and may be assigned to the employee.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years programming experience in Unreal.
- Experience in developing multiplayer games.
- A minimum of 3 years in game development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines such as art, design, architecture and engineering .
- Unreal and C++ programming experience.
- Proven problem-solving and application of good software programming practices.
- Experience with game networking concepts including peer to peer, client/ server, latency compensation, and the like.
Desired:
- Experience with other console platforms like playstation/Xbox.
- Have shipped multiple finished products.
- Experience with Pixel Streaming.
- Experience in developing MMO games.
- Experience in the blockchain gaming industry.
