Shape the Future of Play with Stratton Studios

We don’t just help make games—we help craft experiences that players remember.
As a trusted co-development partner, Stratton Studios works with visionary teams to build, scale, and ship everything from breakout hits to global live-service games. If it pushes boundaries, we’re in.

You’ll join a remote-first crew of game makers who care deeply about player experience, fast iteration, and creative momentum.
We value curiosity over convention, progress over perfection, and trust over titles. If you’re the kind of person who prototypes before you pitch, and solves problems that don’t come with a manual, you’ll feel right at home here.
Job Description

Stratton Studios is looking for a DevOps Engineer to build, maintain, and evolve our development and deployment infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for ensuring fast, reliable, and secure pipelines that support everything from game builds and backend services to analytics and live operations tooling.

  • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to automate testing, deployments, and rollback strategies.
  • Maintain cloud environments (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) and configure secure, scalable hosting solutions.
  • Set up and manage observability tools for logging, monitoring, and alerting (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
  • Create and maintain scripts for build automation, infrastructure as code, and server provisioning.
  • Ensure security best practices for access control, secrets management, and data protection.

  • Proven experience with DevOps practices in games, tech, or SaaS environments.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of system architecture, networking, and Linux-based systems.
  • Experience working with version control systems and Git workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a mindset focused on automation, efficiency, and reliability.
Bonus Skills (Preferred)
  • Experience supporting live-service games or multiplayer infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Unity/Unreal build systems and pipeline integration.
  • Familiarity with backend frameworks or API deployment.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Exposure to game analytics, crash reporting, or player telemetry systems.
  • Understanding of compliance standards (e.g. GDPR, SOC2) for handling sensitive player or partner data.
