We're seeking a talented Frontend Programmer to help create captivating and immersive gaming experiences using Unreal Engine. You will play a crucial role in shaping the user interface and experience of our games. You'll collaborate with the design and development teams to implement captivating frontend features, ensuring seamless integration with the game mechanics. A training and transition period will be given to strong candidates to learn more about Unreal Engine UMG System.
Stairway Games is headquartered in Bali but has over 100 people from anywhere around Indonesia. We’re a fully funded private company with creative freedom and active founders working to grow our studio to deliver high-quality games from Indonesia. In 2023, our debut game Coral Island was released into Full Access, it’s a re-imagined farm sim game inspired by the classics. Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
- Utilizing Unreal Engine to create and optimize frontend interfaces for our games.
- Collaborating with designers and programmers to implement UI/UX elements that enhance player engagement.
- Ensuring the responsiveness and performance of the frontend elements across various platforms and devices.
- Troubleshooting and debugging front-end issues to ensure a smooth gaming experience.
- Pay keen attention to detail and maintain the highest quality standards in every aspect of the front-end development process.
What You’ll Need:
- A super detailed and meticulous approach to work, ensuring no detail goes unnoticed.
- Passionate about gaming and excited to contribute to the gaming industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proven experience as a Frontend Programmer, demonstrated through a portfolio of past projects or work samples
- Strong understanding of front-end development tools, UI/UX principles, and the ability to seamlessly translate designs into interactive front-end features.
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers, programmer, and other team members.
- Proper English Reading / Writing
Big Plus:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science Majors or related.
- Experience in game development or related projects.
- Familiarity with 3D game development and Unreal Engine.
- Understanding of basic animation principles.
