“Nuulandia”, an upcoming project with a vibrant and engaging concept, is seeking a talented Freelance Art Director to establish and guide the artistic vision of our 3D colorful world and 2D character designs. This short-term role will require the creation of essential direction-setting documents, including a mood board and style guide, to ensure visual cohesion and inspiration across our creative team.

- Develop and define the overall cartoon aesthetic of the Nuulandia project.
- Create a comprehensive mood board that captures the project's essence and visual direction.
- Design initial concepts for a 3D colourful world, integrating dynamic environments that are both visually appealing and functional.
- Oversee the initial development of 2D expressive and customizable character designs, ensuring a wide range of swappable items and accessories.
- Work closely with our design lead and artists to align all team members with the project's artistic vision.
- Provide creative leadership and direction, ensuring all visual elements are cohesive and align with project goals.
- Deliver a clear and actionable art direction document that serves as a guideline for all artistic development within the project.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Art Director or similar role in the gaming or animation industries.
- Strong portfolio showcasing skills in both 3D and 2D design, particularly in colourful, cartoon-style aesthetics.
- Experience in creating mood boards and art direction documents.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and align a team of creative professionals.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software and technologies.
