We’re hiring: JUNIOR 3D ANIMATOR (REMOTE)
Grid Paper Studio is looking for a junior 3D Animator to help bring characters, creatures, and props to life for UE5 projects. If you’ve got a strong eye for timing, weight, and appeal and a reel that shows your best work we want to see it.
You’ll do
• Animate characters/props (keyframe + cleanup on mocap) for Unreal
Engine 5.
• Create animation cycles (locomotion, interactions, cinematic beats).
• Work closely with riggers, technical artists, and gameplay to hit in-engine
needs.
• Iterate quickly from feedback and follow project style guides.
You have
• Reel (student or personal projects welcome).
• Understanding of body mechanics, timing, arcs, and silhouettes.
• Good communication, versioning discipline (Git/Perforce), and eagerness to learn.
Nice to have
• Facial animation and lip-sync basics.
• Creature/quad animation, IK/FK fundamentals, and simple retargeting.
• Niagara/Sequencer familiarity and gameplay integration.
