Remote Programming Jobs.
About the role:
We're looking for a generalist mid-level/senior Unity Developer who is interested in growing their accountability over time within a small remote game development team. You'll be our first full-time programming hire and will be working primarily on Munch, our 3D action roguelite where you evolve a creature by eating. See it on Steam here.
Initially we're offering a one-year contract, with extension/permanency as our company evolves. We're a new studio so you'll need to be comfortable with the risk, spirit and opportunity that comes with an entrepreneurial endeavour., but we're open to rewarding that with revenue-share or equity for the right person. We also value the creativity that comes with side projects, so for the right person we can also offer reduced hours (eg. 80%).
Hopefully you know what responsibilities are as a game dev ;) but on top of the usual we want you to:
- Make informed architectural choices
- Leverage existing assets, stores and technologies creatively to work smarter
- Develop captivating combat systems
- Contribute actively to discussions and decisions
We're more interested in passion and commitment than qualifications, but here's our ideal:
- A proven track record shipping multiple video games in Unity
- Experience making vital technical decisions throughout the full game development cycle
- Proficiency in working with 3D graphics, environments and game physics
- Previous experience developing combat systems desirable
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
To apply, send over a CV or link to portfolio, and a few sentences about 1) why you want to join a start-up studio, 2) what's most important to you when choosing where to work, 3) why are you a game developer.
