Remote position with a distributed team. Will work most closely with team members in UTC-7, UTC-5, and UTC+1.
The Game:
We are an indie game studio whose team is united by a shared passion for personal storytelling. Our current project is a narrative-driven 3rd-person 3D puzzle adventure game set in the Islamic Golden Age, which explores themes of grief and loss.

The Role:
We are looking for a 3D animator with experience creating and editing characters and cut scenes, and a strong creative/technical background in Unreal. This Artist will be able to conceptualize, present, and execute ideas within a schedule, while actively participating in technical and artistic problem solving, and will be able to partner with multiple disciplines to meet the project’s needs.

Responsibilities:
• Create animations from the ideation stage through to final implementation of features in Unreal 5.5.
• Work closely with other departments on cinematic moments and support via animation and camera work.
• Create bespoke animations for hero moments in the game.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the mechanics of the game.
• Utilize the Epic Skeleton within Unreal to blend bespoke animations and edit asset packs from the FAB store.
• Animate and pose facial expressions for dialogue sequences.
• Capture in-game footage for marketing materials.
• Understand custom toolsets and deliver assets within the confines of real-time engine constraints and programming demands.

Portfolio
All submissions must include a demo reel showing personal and/or professional artwork. Portfolio should demonstrate a diverse range of animations, including gameplay, cinematics, and character animations.

Details:
• 6 months (24 weeks) full-time contract
• Remote position with a distributed team.
• Will work most closely with team members in UTC-7, UTC-5, and UTC+1.
• Note that we are an indie team and this is our debut game. Due to budget considerations, we are most likely able to hire a mid-level artist, but please apply if you believe you are a fit for the position and share your rate/expectations for a 6-month contract role in USD.

Note: You must apply through the form. Please do not email us separately.
