We are currently seeking a talented UI/2D Artist to join our art team, working jointly on both of our main released games: Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge and Warhammer Horus Heresy: Legions. The ideal candidate is passionate about and knowledgeable of this universe and has an art style that fits in with the Warhammer aesthetic.
Core Responsibilities:
- Produce mockups, prototypes, and final assets following the design requirements and UI art style of every project.
- Create polished illustrations, icons, and other 2D graphic elements and final assets for both games.
- Make sure that the information depicted in the game UI is clear and consistent. Adapt and optimize graphics for different resolutions, devices, and platforms.
- Work closely and iterate with other artists, developers, and game designers to ensure seamless integration of visual elements with gameplay.
- Participate in art feedback sessions and reviews to continuously improve and ensure the product’s fidelity to the Warhammer IP.
- Remain up to date with the latest developments and live ops in Warhammer The Horus Heresy: Legions and Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience as a UI/UX and 2D artist for high-quality PC, mobile, or console games.
- Throughout understanding of UI, UI-Flow, UX, and how to bring it to life with Unity Engine.
- Proficiency in Photoshop.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with the Warhammer 40,000 universe and the ‘Warhammer The Horus Heresy: Legions’ and Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge games.
Additional considerations (Pluses)
- Experience with strategy card game design.
- Bachelor of Arts or similar degree with a specialization in UI or interface design.
- Experience with 2D animations related to UI elements and effects.
