We're Enhearten Media, and we're expanding! We are a rapidly developing indie studio creating a grand scale Real Time Strategy game - “Sanctuary”. Our main goal is to make a strategy game that takes cues from and improves upon Chris Taylor- style RTSes and brings them into the modern era while filling that specific niche. Our team is friendly and welcoming, full of creative people who know what they are doing and are passionate about their work. If you want to be a co-creator rather than just another cog in the machine, and you are a “VFX Artist”, then this position may be for you!

Please note: This is not an entry-level position. Professional experience is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Creating high-quality VFX assets for real-time RTS game in realistic/semi-realistic style, in particular: explosions, projectile trails, firing effects, lightning and sparking effects, lasers - basically everything connected with destruction in our game. As well as some tasks will be involving environmental effects, effects for the buildings/props etc. Some of our early VFX prototyping: 




  • Executing the process from prototype to final assets in Unity.
  • Ensuring that the artistic style and quality has been delivered according to the game’s vision.
  • Helping with planning and scheduling all visual effects in collaboration with other team members.
  • Working effectively and correctly prioritizing tasks.

Requirements:
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of Unity 3D and optimizing VFXs in it.
  • Ability to use Unity's VFX Graph and/or Shuriken Particle System.
  • Ability to create textures and other assets for use in VFX effects.
  • Ability to work from concepts, as well as output original work by yourself.
  • Good communication skills in English.

Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of 3D package such as Blender, 3DMax, or Maya.
  • Ability to create shaders using Unity's Shader Graph.
  • Experience with Unity HDRP.
  • Any other gamedev related skills will be an asset.
  • Familiarity with and a passion for games.

We are an indie studio whose team was brought together to create a next generation large scale RTS - Sanctuary: Shattered Sun. We are passionate and fun, and share our love for RTS games, including titles like Supreme Commander and Total Annihilation. The role will be fully remote, with completely flexible working hours - we are completely remote company with no physical office, so you can work from anywhere.
