Elsewhere is hiring a 3D Character Animator to work with us on our upcoming live service roguelike game. Our game captures the aesthetic and soul of indie games, the replayability and depth of roguelikes, and the ambition to become a forever game that reaches millions of players.
As a 3D Character Animator, you’ll work closely with our Founding Artist to create animation loops for newly modeled characters, as well as helping to further develop existing animations.
This position is for an ongoing contract, ranging from 20-40 hrs/week depending on business needs.
Your Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Blender 4.0+, particularly with rigging and animation
- Eagerness to share messy block-outs and in-progress animation
- Excited to work closely with a small and highly communicative team of game developers
- Comfort with being on video calls
- Familiarity with multiplayer action-games and roguelikes
- A love for games in general. You’re well-versed in everything from modern indie and AAA hits to the old school pioneers that inspired them.
Bonus points for:
- Blender modeling proficiency
- Familiarity with Godot engine
- Experience working on a small team, ideally in a startup environment.
- Solid visual design intuition
