CI Games is looking for an experienced and creative individual to join our team as a Senior AI Designer. You’ll be joining the team on an ambitious and original open world survival game with a horror thematic. We’re putting a unique twist on the formula, both in mechanics and the environmental challenges we set for the player. Visual quality is paramount, so we’re building in Unreal Engine 5.

Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in defining, designing and implementing AI behaviours and features from prototype to shiping
- Own the feature development for AI game design, combat and non-combat NPC’s in the game
- Align with Lead Game Designer and Design Director on ensuring that proposed designs support the vision of the game
- Research and benchmark similar features from relevant titles and use the knowledge to inform design choices
- Adhere to the established standard for formal design documentation, providing clear and structured project documents
- Ensure that the elements developed by the team will contribute to player satisfaction and enjoyment
- Ensure that gameplay intentions are understood and that team members are working on the right elements
- Act as a feature owner, driving features to completion and communicating with all stakeholders
- Anticipating, identifying, and articulating problem areas and developing preventative solutions
- Work with the Lead Designer and Production team providing estimates for the required tasks
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of game design experience with focus on AI
- Must have shipped a minimum of 1 AAA title
- Passion for horror and survival genre
- Experience with Unreal Engine in particular with Blueprints and related design workflows
- A great knowledge of games and an excellent understanding of what makes them work
- Keeps up to date with current industry trends, features and techniques related to the execution of engaging AIs
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines
- Open and creative mind
