OVERVIEW
As a Narrative Design Intern, your role in the game development process is to provide context and meaning to the gameplay experience. Through collaboration with Design and Art, you’ll work to merge those together in the game to form a coherent player experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement narrative moments, dialogue and cinematic content
- Maintain tone and style of the established IP
- Partner with Narrative leadership on the expansion team to bring fiction to the gameplay experience
- Generate and maintain documentation for assigned content
- Collaborate with designers to provide fiction/writing support design requests
- Master the tools and workflows associated with creating narrative content, ensure it is working in game
- Prepare reference materials and scripts for recording sessions
- Support an imaginative and fun work environment
- Promote healthy workflows and solicit support for improvements
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Demonstrable game, prose, and cinematics writing abilities
- Ability to solicit, iterate and react to feedback
- Ability to assess and emulate the tone, themes, and character voices of an established IP
- A passion for and knowledge of narrative in games and other interactive experiences
- Exemplary interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional team player with the ability to collaborate towards achieving product goals
