We're looking for a Concept Artist to join our growing Art team here at Virtex Stadium.
Working in connection with Art and Design team leads you'll get the chance to create high quality concepts to inspire and raise the visual bar of the Virtex Stadium experience. We're looking for someone who loves to use creativity and artistic skills to contribute to the creation of a variety of environments, props, characters and more, all to be shipped as part of a live product.
As part of this role you will have the chance to work with some of the biggest IP in modern gaming, bringing their world, art direction and style into Virtex Stadium to create some truly memorable spaces and moments for fans around the world to enjoy.
Our studio is growing and so we'd love it if you thrive in an ambiguous environment where goals and constraints are mostly team driven and where change, big or small, is a critical part of the process.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Design Lead to create high quality concepts to inspire and raise the visual bar of the project.
Working with AAA partners to bring a range of IP (and their unique setting/art directetion) into the Virtex Stadium universe
Ensure work is delivered timely and according to the specifications of a brief following an established Art Direction.
Develop a range of exciting character, prop & environment assets
Create stunning environmental art that captures the overall filmic quality of the games universe
Ideal experience
3+ years of professional experience as a concept artist in games
Excellent illustration skills.
Great eye for light, value, composition, colour, staging, architecture and detail in environmental design.
Have a good understanding of form and function with an eye for Industrial design
Collaborate heavily with the design and production teams while maintaining the Art Directors vision
Additional Skills (pluses)
Experience with 3D software packages like Maya, Blender, Max, ZBrush etc.
An understanding of human / creature anatomy, colour theory, values, form, shape language and silhouette.
Background in architecture or with a great eye for both internal and external scenes (designing and concepting out what will become real 3D spaces)
Experience creating sci-fi or futuristic settings
Passion for Esports, VR or live events.

As big fans of Esports, we began to envision virtual stadiums and a 3D viewing experience a long time ago! With the Virtex Stadium application launching on PC and VR in 2021, we want to make that dream a reality by allowing Esports fans to view gameplay live in 3D, in the centre of a virtual stadium. Partnering with the wider Esports ecosystem (incl. publishers, leagues, teams), we are working towards building the virtual home of Esports.
