General Summary:
VirBELA is seeking individuals who are mature, inquisitive, reliable, self-directed and interested in developing virtual worlds, simulations and computer games for business and education. As a Senior Unity Engineer at VirBELA you will be working on a cross-disciplinary team that includes organizational psychologists, corporate leaders, virtual world specialists, and domain experts.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop C# software for virtual world front end
- Integrate external systems to core platform
- Develop tools, pipelines, and workflows.
- Oversee projects that involve multidisciplinary teams of artists and engineers
- Develop specifications, timelines, and perform code reviews to shepherd projects from ideation to completion.
Requirements
Education:
B.S./M.S. in Computer Science required
Experience:
- Strong technical credentials, with 5+ years of development experience
- Extensive knowledge of C# and Unity required
- Experience with C++ and Java
- Networked application development
- Deep understanding of application performance design in client/server architectures
- Demonstrated abilities with designing and maintaining large software architectures
- Demonstrated project leadership
- Guiding teams in best coding practices to optimize code performance, legibility, and efficiency
