Our client is a massively multiplayer online game (MMO) that offers players an immersive and limitless experience in a dynamic virtual world. As the game is currently in development, our client is seeking a passionate UX Researcher who can dive deep into understanding the needs and desires of the players.
As a UX Researcher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the player experience of the MMO game. You will collaborate closely with our talented designers and work directly with the client to conduct user tests, gather valuable insights, and deliver actionable recommendations.
Your responsibilities will include
- Designing and conducting user research studies to uncover player preferences, pain points, and expectations.
- Analyzing research findings and synthesizing them into comprehensive reports.
- Collaborating with the design team to implement research insights and improve the user interface and experience.
- Presenting research findings and recommendations to the client, demonstrating the impact of user research on enhancing the game's engagement and usability.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a UX Researcher, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful research studies and their impact on design decisions.
- Proficiency in a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user testing, interviews, surveys, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey research findings in a clear and compelling manner.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with designers and stakeholders.
- Ideally, you have a passion for gaming and understanding player psychology and motivations.
Additional Information
As a freelance UX Researcher, you will have the flexibility to work remotely, conducting user tests and collaborating with the team at team&tonic. The project duration will be based on the scope of research required; this is flexible from a couple of weeks to a couple of months. There is a potential for ongoing collaboration on future projects.
