NOWWA is looking for a highly talented Art Lead/Director to help us lead a team of Artists for our game BulletVille. We are building a fast paced 3rd Person Parkour Hero Shooter with a big roster, lots of guns and a ton of abilities!

What we're looking for
NOWWA is searching for a highly talented and self-motivated Leader and Artist to bring our vision to life. The ideal candidate will be able to create their own game-ready 3D Art assets, but also manage, track, critique and guide the entire Art team and pipeline. They will be able to solve problems/blockers or preferably see and prevent them beforehand entirely. They will have a great attention to detail and an incredible eye to catch issues, define their causes and find/provide solutions quickly. They will be able to oversee all aspects of the 3D Art Pipeline, with a keen understanding particularly around Character Animation and Rigging.
Responsibilities
Lead/Direct Team of Artists
Produce Game-Ready Art assets
Plan and prioritize Art Production Pipeline
Organize remote Art Team Meetings
Lead Pre-Production & Moodboarding to define Art Direction
Create and manage Art Bibles and Documentation
Work inside Unreal Engine, manage assets & visuals, optimize for performance
Oversee animation, rigging, VFX, lighting, environment, UI, characterdesign, and all aspects of art production
Provide Constructive Feedback to all members of Art team and guide to meet goals/deadlines
Maintain a bar of Quality and visual polish
Ensure Art is aligned with Game Design and Programming goals
Align with Management on direction and plan our execution strategy
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Art Lead or Director in the gaming industry
5+ years in game development Art Pipeline with shipped titles
Excellent Eye for Quality & ability to constructively critique
Experienced with Art and asset management inside Unreal Engine 4/5
Expert in 3D Art Pipeline: Meshes, Textures/Materials, UV’s, Rigging and Animation
Expert in Art Principles like Color Theory, Shape Language, Proportions, etc.
Full knowledge of essential art packages such as Maya, Substance, Adobe, etc
Great reading & writing skills in English; Spanish and Russian a bonus
Ability to problem solve, but more importantly, prevent
Nice to Have
Technical Art skills including optimization, performance, shaders, etc
Knowledge in general Coding/Blueprints
Knowledge in Animation Blueprints
Familiar with version control systems (P4V)
