We're looking for a Talent Acquisition and Team Coordinator who can help us scale our freelance collective of video game talent! MLC is undergoing a burst of growth and we're looking for someone who wants to take the lead on this new role and grow with it.
Our ideal candidate is highly organised, a strong communicator, has experience building remote or distributed teams, and is passionate about empowering talent. Bonus points if you like video games or understand the game development pipeline!
This is a remote position working as part of a distributed team.
Objectives of this role
- Take charge of our talent acquisition strategy and processes
- Source, attract and secure the freelance talent for our freelancer collective
- Assist with hiring for full-time roles (occasional)
- Ensure our talent pools can meet demand
- Assist sales team and account managers in matching talent with incoming projects
- Work with senior management, hiring managers, and team leaders to ensure our culture is strengthened
- Be a key member of the MLC team ensuring company growth
Responsibilities
- Source talent from various sources including Art Station, Behance, other portfolio websites and social media
- Coordinate with hiring managers on staffing needs
- Have a clear understanding of who we have in our talent pool and their skills
- Work closely with the marketing team to increase our employer brand and fill open roles
- Set up and manage art skills tests for candidates
- Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each role
- Coordinate interview times with hiring managers and candidates across time zones
- Attend job fairs and other events to promote MLC as an employer
- Engage art universities, colleges, and schools in conversations regarding talent
- Keep track of candidate applications through relevant software
- Onboard new talent and ensure our internal directory is up to date
- Be an ambassador for MLC and represent our core values at all times
- Own the talent acquisition pipeline from start to end
Requirements
Skills, Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree or qualification in Human Resources Management advantageous
- Experience in building remote or distributed teams
- Familiar with Google Suite, social media, MS Office, MS Teams
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
- High attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with other team members
- Can work independently and take initiative
- Have overlap in your working hours with Vancouver and London

- Knowledge of Discord and Notion
- Understanding of game development pipeline or a passion for video games
- Willingness to learn and increase your own knowledge
