🔍 About the role

Karta is on the lookout for a talented UX/UI Designer to join our dynamic team! If you're passionate about crafting immersive user experiences and designing visually stunning interfaces for games.

🤓 Key Responsibilities

Design user interfaces for virtual worlds and environments in metaverse platforms
Possess a thorough understanding of UX principles and best practices
Evaluate and refine tutorials and menus, identifying areas for improvement
Create compelling visual mock-ups to showcase capabilities and proposed solutions to clients
Actively engage in exploring and understanding other platforms, their design principles, and their user experience patterns
Create user experiences which are engaging, intuitive and user-friendly
Collaborate with designers, engineers and product managers to problem solve and bring ideas to life
Conduct user research and testing to ensure that designs meet the needs of our users
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in UI/UX design
Hands-on approach to product development, actively engaging in user testing and providing insightful feedback from an end-user perspective

Skills required

A proven track record or portfolio of excellence across metaverse platforms such as Roblox, Zepeto or Fortnite in GUI design
A keen interest in the visual expression of brand identities, particularly in the realms of sports, fashion and music
In-depth knowledge of UX principles, interface design patterns, merchandising strategies and in-world interface design for metaverse experiences, particularly those related to progression systems and player behavior
Proficient in UI/UX design tools such as Figma, Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with 3D modeling and animation software
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ideal attributes

Possess proficiency in metaverse GUI tools and frameworks, such as Roblox Studio's built-in GUI editor and/or Roact, to create and implement new GUIs within Roblox experiences
Demonstrate a keen interest in exploring and contributing to the development of emerging metaverse platforms, such as Zepeto and Fortnite
Bachelor's degree in User Experience (UX) Design, Interaction Design, or a related field
3+ years of experience designing user interfaces for virtual worlds or augmented reality applications
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
Experience with prototyping and usability testing tools
Portfolio of work showcasing your UI/UX design skills
