Junkfish Ltd are seeking a mid-level creative and detail-oriented Video Producer and Editor to join our marketing team. This role focuses on producing engaging trailers and video content for our video games, helping to drive player engagement and excitement. You will collaborate closely with the art, animation, and audio teams to craft compelling visual narratives that resonate with our audience.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, our ideal Video Producer and Editor is a skilled visual storyteller with a strong eye for detail and a passion for creating engaging video content. From concepting and storyboarding to the final edit, you will be responsible for producing high-quality videos that showcase Junkfish’s projects and brand. You will be proficient in video editing and post-production, as well as working with marketing and development teams to bring your ideas to life. You will have a keen sense of pacing, composition, and narrative flow to ensure our videos captivate our audience.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce high-quality trailers, promotional videos, developer diaries, and other marketing materials.
  • Work closely with the art, animation, and audio teams to ensure visual and auditory elements align with the game’s vision and marketing strategy.
  • Handle all aspects of post-production, including color grading, audio mixing, sound effects, and motion graphics.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary assets, including gameplay footage, concept art, and voiceovers.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders, iterating quickly while maintaining quality.
  • Work alongside the marketing team to understand campaign goals, target audience, and key messaging.


Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years’ proven experience as a video editor and producer, preferably within the video game or entertainment industry.
  • Strong proficiency in video capturing software (e.g. OBS)
  • Strong proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro).
  • Experience with using Unreal Engine to obtain video footage for unreleased projects
  • Experience with using pre-created motion graphics, 3D animation, and audio to edit and compose videos
  • Experience working with with Agile production methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, soft skills, and the ability to take and give feedback constructively.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to interpret direction and build strong relationships with team members at all levels of the organisation.

  • An open mindset; motivated, curious, and self-critical.


Desired Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience creating video content for social media platforms (e.g., YouTube, TikTok, Instagram).
  • Basic knowledge of sound design and music composition.
  • Familiarity with live streaming platforms and content creation on said platforms (e.g. YouTube, Twitch, TikTok)
  • Familiarity with gaming culture and industry trends.
  • Experience of collaborating across various disciplines in a remote work setting.
