Junkfish Ltd is looking for a Social Media and Community Associate to join our Marketing and Community team. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a friendly, diverse and dynamic team to grow and nurture our passionate community for our current and future titles through innovative engagement and communication across multiple platforms. This person should also have the presence to be the voice of the community across all areas of the organization while providing thought leadership on the latest community-building trends and opportunities.
This role focuses on fostering community growth, engagement and supporting player-first initiatives that enhance the player experience. You'll be responsible for managing day-to-day interactions, assisting with content creation, helping to gather player feedback, and helping shape the public narrative of our games.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, our ideal Social Media and Community Associate is a skilled storyteller and community builder with a deep understanding of online engagement. You will be proficient in assisting with social media campaigns, creating engaging content, and fostering positive community interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and manage the community daily to foster positive sentiment and build brand loyalty.
  • Assist Social Media & Community Manager to drive and manage community engagement and retention to foster positive sentiment and build brand loyalty.
  • Assist the Social Media & Community Manager to derive and execute community plans.
  • Be the players’ voice within the wider studio.
  • Works closely with the team to derive social media plans to support Social Media strategy.
  • Assist in executing social media plans.
  • Create high-quality and engaging content for the company’s social media platforms.
  • Keep up on trends in social media and social networking.
  • Staying up to date on industry news and developments

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong understanding of popular social media platforms
  • A passion for gaming, with a desire to pursue a career in community and social media management
  • Familiarity with image and video editing tools such as Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
  • Impeccable copywriting skills in both long, and short-form content
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team


Desired Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in streaming and streaming software such as OBS. 
  • Strong familiarity with top and mid-tier streaming/YouTube personalities (already established relationships a plus)
  • Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
