Happy Volcano is looking for a senior Unity programmer to join our programming team and help build our factory automation game: Modulus. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to leave your mark on the game and help it succeed and grow, from current production to Steam Early Access release in 2025 and beyond.
We would prefer to work contract based for at least 1 year, with a possibility to extend or to switch to permanent employment if preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement new or maintain existing gameplay systems
- Collaborate with the art and design teams to realize the game’s vision
- Optimize your code to get the absolute best out of the engine
- Write clean, efficient and well-documented code
- We’re a small studio and value collaboration across teams and disciplines. You’ll be expected to work well with the whole team.
- You’ll be a proactive and positive contributor and support your team.
Requirements
- You have 4+ years of professional experience as an programmer
- Excellent C# programming skills
- Experience with unmanaged and unsafe C#, multithreaded code, async/await, …
- You’re an excellent communicator
- You are legally able to full-time contract work from your country of residence or to work full-time in Belgium
- You are able to work effectively remotely during core Central European Time
Nice to have's
- Experience with Scriptable Object architecture
- Affinity with the factory automation genre
