Description
As a VFX Artist, you’ll partner up with the Art, Design and Engineering teams to create fun and appealing visual effects to improve gameplay readability and add life to our very unique characters, weapons, abilities and environments. Join a passionate team of talented individuals working on an innovative AAA team shooter with new and interesting challenges in a world where slime is ubiquitous.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with different disciplines to identify, plan and execute on VFX needs across all areas of our next-gen team shooter.
- Responsible for authoring shaders and particle FX optimized for different platforms
- Work with Technical Artists to optimize our VFX pipeline
- Troubleshoot VFX issues
- Work with other remote developers from different disciplines to identify, plan and deliver content
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- 1+ years experience in video game development
- Experience shipping game projects
- A portfolio that demonstrates your artistic skill and real time VFX knowledge.
- An understanding of performance trade-offs
- Familiarity with video game content pipelines
Nice to Have
- Experience with Technical Animation
- 5+ years experience in video game development
- Familiar with Unreal Engine 4/5
- Experience with asset creation tools like Houdini and Maya
- An active interest in eSports
