Job Title: Gaming Network Programmer with Steam Store, API, and Web3 Expertise
Overview:
We are seeking a talented and versatile Gaming Network Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will not only possess strong programming skills for gaming networks but will also specialize in managing and optimizing the Steam Store platform, API integration, and bring valuable experience in Web3 technologies.
Responsibilities:
1. Gaming Network Programming:
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust gaming network systems to ensure seamless multiplayer experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate networking features into game mechanics.
- Optimize network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues for an enhanced gaming experience.
2. Steam Store Management:
- Manage and update the game's presence on the Steam Store.
- Implement effective marketing strategies on the Steam platform to maximize visibility and engagement.
- Stay informed about Steam Store policies and utilize them to enhance the game's market positioning.
3. API Integration:
- Work on API integrations to enhance the game's functionality and connectivity with various platforms.
- Collaborate with other teams to design and implement APIs for smooth data exchange between different game components.
4. Web3 Expertise (Bonus):
- Bring knowledge and experience in Web3 technologies, particularly in the context of gaming and blockchain integration.
- Explore and implement Web3 solutions for in-game assets, NFTs, and other blockchain-related features.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in gaming network programming, with a focus on multiplayer functionality.
- Strong proficiency in Steam Store management and understanding of the digital distribution landscape.
- Solid experience with API design, implementation, and integration.
- Bonus: Experience with Web3 technologies, blockchain, and smart contracts.
Skills:
- Proficient in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with Steamworks SDK and API documentation.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and multiplayer architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration within a team environment.
