It's a bit more challenging than the road since you can easily rotate the road and it looks fine everywhere. Ship might not look as good when re-oriented (maybe). Something to keep in mind during design.

2- New pirate icon
The base game just uses a black version of the base ship but I think we should definitely do a fun ship with a pirate flag.
Something like this https://prntscr.com/v1y0v3 but with less details. This picture is just meant to show a pirate icon on the sails.
Pirate ship doesn't care about orientation since its placed in the centre of the tile, not on tile edge.
3- A new gold tile

It might be fun to add a really slight glow to the tile but I have a feeling this wouldn't look that good on the map. Maybe as a test to see how it would look like?
4- A new fog tile
This one could be pretty easy. We can either take an ocean tile and add a cloud over it, or we could take a land tile and put a cloud over it and show a bit of shore.
Ocean + cloud probably makes the most sense since sometimes the tile you discover is more ocean so showing a shore might be misleading.
5- A new button
The ships will be used from the ships you drew we'll just need the arrow part https://prnt.sc/vb5uld

7- New Longest Road Icon (road + ships)
Current game where there are no ships we use this icon https://prnt.sc/vbsjle. But for expansion game which has ships it should indicate road or ship logic.
Should indicate the players longest connected road
