"Tearfallen" is a fast-paced multiplayer online action rogue-like set in a "Pantheonpunk" universe. Embark on semi-generated expeditions, navigating a world where cooperation and strategy unite players against divine intrigue. Your adventure awaits—join us and shape the saga of 'Tearfallen'.

As a Senior Game Designer at Chillchat, you will design gameplay mechanics, systems, balance, and more. You’ll create documentation for other teams and jump directly into Unreal Engine to implement. Your ultimate goal is to help us deliver a fresh and engaging multiplayer rogue-like experience to our players.

How you will make an impact:

Design innovative and balanced gameplay mechanics, while maintaining simplicity and clarity, to deliver compelling gameplay experiences that present players with enjoyable challenges and achievements.
Create proposals for game mechanics and systems with clear and concise documentation.
Collaborate with designers, artists, and programmers to align implementation to the intended design and vision while managing scope.
Take an obsessive approach to player experience by observing and adapting to player behavior to continually improve player engagement.
Mentor junior and mid game designers on the most important aspects of game design, helping them to deliver production ready design.

Your character build:

4+ years of professional game design experience, preferably with shipped multiplayer titles.
Extensive experience designing and shipping a rogue-like game, demonstrating a deep knowledge of rogue-like mechanics.
Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy to deliver impactful results on the end product through experience and understanding of game markets and consumer preferences.
Experience working in Unreal Engine. Should be comfortable with scripting (Lua and Blueprints).
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to analyze and compare ideas or solutions and articulate what the optimal solution is and why.
Detail oriented with the desire and ability to meticulously refine game mechanics and systems to optimize for player engagement.
Deep understanding of fundamental game design principles, game theory, and player behavior. Can anticipate player or game outcomes before they occur.
Strong technical writing, documentation, and spreadsheet skills. Should be comfortable with spreadsheet formulas.
Understand monetization behavior and game economy principles.
Highly collaborative and able to work effectively across team disciplines (artists, programmers, QA, etc) to ensure proper implementation of the gameplay features.
