About the Role
We are looking for an Animation Producer - preferably with episodic television animation experience - to oversee external animation production on an internal interactive project. The Animation Producer must be able to manage communication across multiple time zones and is experienced with 2D and 3D animation pipelines. They will work with studio creatives to generate creative development milestones within the overall animation production timeline, and the schedule of key deliverables between studios.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for an Animation Producer - preferably with episodic television animation experience - to oversee external animation production on an internal interactive project. The Animation Producer must be able to manage communication across multiple time zones and is experienced with 2D and 3D animation pipelines. They will work with studio creatives to generate creative development milestones within the overall animation production timeline, and the schedule of key deliverables between studios.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee animation production with external partners, ensuring the team is on track with their deliverables from visual dev, asset creation, storyboards, animatics, to final animation renders.
- Ensure internal creative direction is accurately translated and reflected in external art and animation deliverables.
- Manage retakes and feedback with external animation partner
- Find efficiencies, and track progress inside of production
- Manage the overall art asset list, capturing the needs of the project
- Lead animation meetings with clear agendas, capture pertinent next steps and distribute information.
- Identify bottlenecks in the animation pipeline that may prevent the team from achieving their goals, and work to mitigate risk.
Requirements:
- Experience producing 2D or 3D animated television series.
- Experience using modern production software to schedule and track work.
- Able to handle many discrete tasks at once without losing focus on any individual item.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead teams in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills, problem solving, and project management skills.
- Positive and self-driven attitude with the ability to participate in a collaborative environment.
- Able to write clear, concise and accurate email communication, with the ability to summarize complex topics.
- Able to give and take criticism in a professional manner.
- Strong and current industry knowledge.
Preferable Experience:
- Experience in Art and Animation Outsourcing.
- Experience with mocap pipelines.
- Experience working with the Unreal Engine.
- Experience managing remote teams.
- Experience working in interactive narrative.
- A passion for better representation in games and game development.
