ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Technical QA Engineer who is as comfortable finding bugs in a VR environment as they are writing C# scripts to automate performance and gameplay tests in Unity. In this role, you will split your time between hands-on testing alongside our QA Lead and working directly with the Development Lead to build and maintain automated testing tools.
This is a 100% remote position, but unfortunately we can only consider applicants from UK, Ireland, France and USA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
QA
  • Work closely with other disciplines to identify both potential and observed bugs for assigned features
  • Generate high quality bug reports and verify bug fixes
  • Test games in both LIVE and QA environments across supported VR platforms
  • Perform internal playtests alongside other members of the team
  • Collaborate with the QA Lead to create and execute comprehensive test plans
  • Support the release process across all required platforms with build verification and investigation of community-reported issues
Technical
  • Develop and execute performance and stability tests within the Unity Editor and on target VR hardware
  • Collaborate with the Development Lead to design, implement, and maintain automated test suites
  • Write and maintain automation tools and scripts in C# to support gameplay, regression, and hardware-specific validation
  • Create utilities and automation scripts using PowerShell to support build verification, deployment, and testing workflows
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Assist with monitoring build health, test results, and performance regressions across automated builds
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years experience working in game QA, with at least 2 years in a role involving technical or automation testing
  • Successfully shipped at least one game as a QA engineer or technical QA
  • Experience working with Unity, with the ability to read and write C# scripts for testing, tooling, or automation
  • Experience with Unity testing frameworks such as Unity Test Runner (Edit Mode and Play Mode tests) or similar automated testing frameworks
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD systems such as Azure DevOps Pipelines
  • Familiarity with scripting tools such as PowerShell for build and automation workflows
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies, issues, or things that don't look right
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Comfortable working in a remote workplace
PREFERENCES
  • Familiarity with Blade and Sorcery gameplay
  • Experience testing VR titles and working with VR hardware (e.g., Meta Quest, SteamVR devices)
  • Passion for games
