The Powell Group is looking for a Release Manager to oversee and coordinate the end-to-end release process for games across various PC, Console, and streaming platforms.
Responsibilities
- In this position, you will work closely with external contractors and developers as well as Internal Production, Marketing, Business Development, QA teams to drive each title to smooth and successful releases
- Own and manage the scheduling, coordinating and the management of release across our portfolio with internal and external stakeholders
- Set up and manage digital products on 1st party sites for submission and release
- Manage build submissions for certification on all major platforms (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Steam, etc.)
- Establish and maintain strong relationships and communication with 1st parties (Waiver requests, schedule changes, slot booking, escalation of issues, etc.)
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to resolve any issues related to submission, certification, compliance, or general release
- Coordinate with Marketing and Business Development teams to order and distribute digital voucher codes
- Coordinate with Creative Service and Marketing teams to generate assets and manage metadata submissions on first party storefronts
- Execute metadata submissions for store fronts on all major platforms (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Steam, Apple, etc.)
- Work directly with development and production teams to submit rating materials (IARC, ESRB, PEGI, CERO, etc.)
- Work directly with Business Development and Marketing/Retail Distributors to manage and prepare game builds and packaging for retail releases
- Provide high quality documentation that enables knowledge sharing and improved submission quality
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Qualifications
- 2 years Release Management with 1st party game platform submission experience
- Experience with issue/bug tracking and source control software
- Managed the release of at least one sim-shipped game across multiple platforms
- Detailed oriented with strong project management and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners
- Relationship management skills with the ability to build and maintain internal and external partnerships
- Self-motivated with experience working independently and with a team, while being comfortable with ambiguity and shifting release requirements
- Strong record of managing multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Experience managing live incidents and troubleshooting technical issues
