Lead Producer, External Games

Responsibilities
  • This role will manage two to three external games development partners across multiple titles at once
  • Take the lead as an external developer’s primary point of contact with the publisher, working with developers in creation of project and milestone schedules, submission planning, and overall development plans
  • Provide ongoing management check and balance throughout the full product life cycle
  • Identify risks and red flags early and often and remove roadblocks and performance bottlenecks as needed
  • Review and evaluate game builds and milestone deliveries across design, creative, development, and production progress
  • Work with our Executive Producers to ensure all projects are delivering on time, within budget, against the design scope and aligned to broader portfolio and quality goals
  • Maintain relationships with the leads of the development & publishing teams to ensure all production and publishing goals are met, cultivating relationships to effectively collaborate and problem solve
  • Help resolve unique and complex product issues through ingenuity, creativity and any other means necessary to get the job done. Identify risks early and often and remove roadblocks and performance bottlenecks as needed
  • Inspire and empower the development teams that you will be working with, guide them through continuous improvement, and share learnings with the studio
  • Serve as internal product champion by providing visibility into milestones and challenges. Ensure that all teams have optimal product information to deliver games to market.
  • Work cross functionally to create a healthy team culture, that is communicative, transparent, motivated, committed and focused on realistic goals.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in game development and production on PC and Console
  • Experience simultaneously shipping products across PC, Sony, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles
  • 2+ years experience as a Producer in the games industry
  • 2+ years experience with publishing services (QA Testing, Localization, Porting)
  • Familiarity with the submission processes for Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo
  • Ability to collaborate with and manage external game development teams and service providers
  • An excellent knowledge of game production, including the difficulties generally encountered by teams and the ability to create solutions tailored to their requirements
  • Experience leading complex game projects and delivering successfully in regards to quality, scope, schedule, and budget
  • Extremely strong project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
