What you bring to us:

  • 4+ years in the gaming industry with at least one shipped title.
  • Expertise in 2D animation.
  • Mastering of technical art tools and a drive to learn new techniques.
  • A passion for video games and a positive attitude.
  • Practical understanding of art pipelines.
  • The ability to revise and, if necessary, suggest improvements on work done by others.
  • Fundamental animation theory, including the principles of anatomy and composition, especially for character animations.
  • Possibility to work onsite at the Gothenburg office.
Bonus traits:

  • Rigging and skinning.
  • Experience in working with different game engines.
  • Swedish language skills.
  • A love for retro games!
  • Experience in pixel art and pixel art editors such as Pyxel Edit.
  • Any other technical art skills are appreciated!
Your role:

  • Bringing vivid 2D art to life!
  • Delivering high-quality, shippable art assets.
  • Contributing with your experiences and expertise to support your team and fellow artists in their development.
  • Working closely together with the Art team to make concept decisions.
  • Illustrating in-game items and animating characters from new concepts.
  • Concepting and creating style frames from idea to finished product.
  • Iterating animations and visuals with the Art team.
Growth areas:

  • Spritesheet and bone animation.
  • Elevated knowledge in digital visualization tools such as Spine, After Effects, Photoshop, and Unreal Engine.
  • Practical trailer animation knowledge from working with marketing campaigns.
