SOFTWARE DEVELOPER for a UNITY PROJECT (similar to NANITE)
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Unity Developer with advanced knowledge in C# and compute shaders to join our pioneering team. The primary focus of this role will be to develop and optimize a next-generation graphics system for Unity, akin to Nanite.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Unity API and GPU programming, real-time rendering, and performance optimization to push the boundaries of what is possible in Unity.
Possible tasks (depending on your interest and suitability):
- Develop and optimize compute shaders to handle complex tasks such as dynamic level-of-detail (LOD) management, massive mesh data processing, and real-time performance enhancements.
- Work on the design and implementation of a revolutionary graphics system in Unity, focusing on high fidelity, real-time rendering capabilities similar to Nanite.
- Usage of the latest Unity technologies (e.g., Ray-Tracing, DOTS, Jobs-System, etc.)
- Seamlessly integrate the next-gen graphics system with existing Unity workflows and pipelines.
- Profile and optimize rendering performance, ensuring the system can handle large-scale, detailed environments efficiently.
- Work closely with the graphics engineering team, artists, and technical directors to achieve visually stunning results that meet the project’s technical requirements.
- Continuously research and implement new graphics techniques and technologies to keep the system at the forefront of the industry.
- Create detailed technical documentation and user guides for internal use and future development.
Your skills/experience:
Important:
- Unity3D (2022+) and C#
- Depending on possible tasks above the corresponding experience
- Passion for game development
- English (fluent, if possible, also "software English")
- Problem-solving oriented, proactive and self-organized

- Strong communication skills with external team members
