About the project:
- BloodLoop is a Hero-Shooter game, with a decentralized economy, inspired by the mechanics of the world's leading competitive FPS. The main goal of BloodLoop is not just to develop a product whose main feature is its decentralized economy or potential earnings for users, but to offer to users an enjoyable and well made game experience.
As a Senior Game Programmer, you will be in charge to implement the game features in the engine, and make sure that they are working.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and write clean, robust, maintainable code
- Collaborate with designers, artists and other engineers to implement and fine-tune game features.
- Proficiency in game development areas such as Gameplay, UI, Animation, Combat, Multiplayer & Network.
- Experiment with game design and use rapid prototyping while ensuring that strong architectural and algorithmic decisions are made
- Contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of the game’s production and development;
- Analyze, profile and optimize features as required
- Ensure code performance through profiling and optimization.
- Ensure the technical quality of the project through tuning and bug fixing;
- Follow and enhance the existing development process and set standards;
- Meeting deadlines. Establish responsible deadlines and personal work plans and manage time effectively
- Write and maintain system and feature documentation
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Skilled and experienced Senior Game Programmer with strong knowledge of C++ and Unreal Engine
- Knowledge of Unreal Gameplay Ability System
- Knowledge of Unreal Network programming
- Experience developing games professionally for 5+ years and at least 1 released projects made with Unreal Engine
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Open mind, strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- An inclination to break down complex problems
- Strong problem solving, conceptual and analytical skills.
- Plus: BS (or higher) in Computer Science or a similar discipline (i.e., physics, math, EE, etc.)
- Self-employed status for non-swiss citizens
