Martian Brothel is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Sr. Producer with a passion for video games to help our growing narrative studio on an ambitious interactive drama for a well-known horror IP.
Martian Brothel is the first interactive writing studio in the video game industry. We are a group of award-winning writers and narrative designers who partner with major publishers and studios to write and design the stories and scripts for AAA video games and prestige interactive media.
This is a production leadership role. You will not only be managing the day-to-day of a large narrative team, but will be tasked with managing budgets and contracts, building schedules, coordinating production with other video game studios, vendors and outsourcers, as well as maintaining relationships with highly involved publishing executives and other external stakeholders.
$120k-$180k a year D.O.E.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Producer in our narrative development studio, you will be accountable for project level tracking, progress, and reporting, as well as working closely with the Director of Production of our Publisher to establish milestone goals and track the approval progress towards meeting those targets. You will be tasked with proposing the narrative scoping plans and prioritization strategy. You will both represent, as well as advocate for, the narrative team's needs across competing interdisciplinary groups in a highly matrixed project organization.
- Work with studio leadership and publishing stake-holders to establish milestone deliverables and negotiate agreements.
- Build and manage the creative pipeline and schedule for a large team of writers and narrative designers
- Act as primary driver on narrative roadmap development and execution
- Manage the budget, billing and staffing of the narrative team
- Track the team’s progress and hold them accountable for making dates
- Maintain complex interdisciplinary communication systems across multiple studios
- Proactively track progress to identify systemic issues, mitigate risks, and propose/execute solutions
- Keep stakeholders and interested parties well informed of status and risks
- Ensure that meetings with leads are both targeted and regular to discuss status, resolve issues and share information
- Coordinate scripts across departments and maintain version control
- Create roadmaps, schedules, Gantt charts, and other visual communication tools as needed
- Find and schedule outside consultants, when needed, and maintain relationships with them
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in a producer or project management role in video game, animation development or equivalent, preferably in a senior role
- Comfortable communicating with creative leadership and studio executives, including working directly with publishers, IP holders and other external stake-holders
- Experience in full development cycles
- Familiarity with methodologies such as SCRUM, Agile, Waterfall, etc.
- Experience in both using as well as learning task tracking tools such as MS Project, Jira, Shotgrid, etc.
- Familiar with information sharing tools such as Confluence, GDrive, Miro, etc.
- Able to produce clear, concise reports on velocity, cadence, and deliverables status
- Fluent in communicating status, risks, suggested action plans to department heads and publishing
- Proactive and adaptable, can quickly evaluate a situation and set up solutions from scratch
