Lootfeed LEAD DEVELOPER
This is the greatest thing for gamers since Plumbers stepped on Goombas. We are building an app for console video gamers. This is a contract position that could lead to an equity growth role.
Our quest is to find a powerful lead developer to work with our small yet resourceful team.
We want someone who can meet and work with us part-time in person and also be a self-starter who can do great things from home.
This is a key position - you will play a major role in the growth and maturity of this app, from contributing ideas to helping iterate into a launch ready post MVP/Product.
We have two developers currently working on the app, ready to follow your lead. You will be responsible for ensuring that work gets done effectively and providing advice if needed. There is already a working alpha, but it needs your help to refine the app for launch.
SKILLS
- Experienced with back-end programming languages {{Ex: PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, .NET, JavaScript etc}}
- Experience using {{Ex: advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.}}.
- Understanding of server-side languages including {{such-as Jade, EJS, Jinja, etc.}}.
- Experience for both mobile and desktop.
- Hands-on experience building and launching applications.
- Comfortable working with a remote team with developers at different locations.
- A Scrum Master knowledgeable too with Peer code reviews and QA Testing
- Exemplary technical problem-solving skills
- Experience and/or a strong interest in developing great user experiences is required.
- Open to working remotely
BONUS
- Has a love and understanding for all kinds of video games.
- Knowledge of Firebase, React, Vue, Python
- Likes to build fun things with frameworks like ARKit in their spare time.
- Has understanding of iOS and Android development.
This project uses Slack and some agile methods when needed, with tools like GitLab to organize and track progress.
