We are looking for a Sound Designer to join the team, working on our debut title, The Lost Wild .

Working with a tight-knit and highly passionate team, you will play a key role in defining the game's audio vocabulary and help steer the creative direction. We are looking for a proactive person to join our team, someone who is looking to help us achieve audio excellence, collaborate to define, and craft the vision for this title and take on responsibilities across the audio spectrum from formulating concepts and defining the overall vibe. 

The primary responsibility of this role is to collaborate with the Creative Director and senior project team, to oversee all aspects of audio content production and implementation and direct and help the game team achieve the quality and vision for the game.

Location: The role is fully remote with options to work out of the office in Brighton.
Level/Experience: Have worked on at least one title as a sound designer, shipped or unshipped.

What the job entails
  • Help us define overall sound direction and continuity across the game alongside other discipline leads and directors
  • Proactively iterate and test sounds as part of a strong user-testing process which forms part of the production process. 
  • Record, mix, tweak recordings either taken from libraries, or from your own foley recordings. 
  • Help implement all sounds/cues into the engine correctly, with correct setup attenuation values, and ensure the sounds do come across as intended. 
  • Proactively explore new methods, techniques, and technologies to improve our quality and continue to push for realism and immersion at all times.
  • Help us define the processes, pipelines, and direction that will enable the team to deliver a high-quality game.
  • Participate in continuous review and feedback of the game with the team.
  • Be involved in the creation of the game generally, and help shape it.
Technical Skills/Knowledge
  • Experience in implementing sound into games using various game development tools, pipelines, and technology. 
  • Proficiency with either Wwise or Fmod.
  • Expertise with DAW and sample editor.
  • Experience with ambient sound design and dialogue. 
  • Good recording skills for SFX and Foley, in-studio and external environments.
  • Good understanding of music theory.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
