CI Games is looking for an experienced and creative individual to join our team as an Economy Designer. You’ll be joining the team on an ambitious and original open world survival game with a horror thematic. We’re putting a unique twist on the formula, both in mechanics and the environmental challenges we set for the player. Visual quality is paramount, so we’re building in Unreal Engine 5.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the design and development of the game economy related features for an upcoming game in line with creative direction and a player-first approach
- Work with production and other departments to define KPIs and help meet project goals
- Designing and using telemetry to make sure that the features you work on achieve the intended results
- Observe game KPIs and identify opportunities alongside other departments such as BI, Sales and Marketing to make sure all business needs and goals are met
- Work together with the BI team to review the success of current systems and initiatives as well as suggest new solutions
- Stay up to date with the latest engagement strategies in the industry, understanding their strengths and weaknesses
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years professional experience working with monetisation and game economy in a design role on a AAA game
- Passion for horror and survival genre
- Strong understanding of player psychology and motivation in relation to game economy design
- Experience with tools to assist with modelling and balancing quantitative design
- Expertise in translating analytical results into practical recommendations
- Experience working in cross-discipline teams
- Good knowledge and understanding of game design fundamentals
