BODS is recruiting for a Sr Software Engineer, who will be responsible for developing and maintaining our avatar and garments in Unreal Engine. This is a Remote/Hybrid role, with potential in-person work opportunities in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and improving rendering of avatar and assets
- Building new features in Unreal Engine
- GPU profiling and optimization
Candidate Requirements
- 5+ years of C++ and/or Unreal Engine experience
- Excellent understanding of C++ concepts, e.g. memory management and data structures
- Working knowledge of advanced OOP methodologies and Design Patterns
- Familiarity with SIMD, SoA vs AoS
- Capable of developing coherent and optimal strategies for physics and rendering-related goals using geometric math
- Experience working with modern graphics APIs, e.g. Vulkan, DirectX, Metal, etc
- Familiarity with Unreal’s rendering engine
- Must be authorized to work in the United States or have a US billable entity in your locale
Preferred Experience
- Experience with animation, shaders, streaming (pixel streaming)
- Experience with Git/Perforce
