Bookkeeper (Part-Time) — Armor Games Studios
Location: Remote (U.S.-based preferred)
Hours: 20–40 hours per month
Compensation: $35 to $40 an hour based on experience

About Armor Games Studios
Armor Games Studios (AGS) is an independent video game publisher based in Frisco, Texas. We work with creative developers worldwide to bring unique, story-driven, and fun experiences to players across PC and console platforms. We’re seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and maintain accurate financial records across both our publishing operations and some rental properties.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in QuickBooks Online, be confident in managing ledgers, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheets, and have a strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles. Prior experience in the video game industry or with royalty-based revenue models is a major plus.
In addition to managing Armor Games Studios’ financials, this role will also involve setting up and maintaining a separate QuickBooks company to track and reconcile transactions for a few rental properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for Armor Games Studios.

Reconcile bank, credit card, business line of credit and PayPal accounts monthly.

Balance books and prepare monthly and quarterly financial summaries as needed

Create and manage a separate QuickBooks Online company for rental properties, including tracking income, expenses, maintenance costs, and deposits.
- When needed; assist in preparing financial reports for tax filings, annual budgets, and business reviews.

Identify and implement process improvements for bookkeeping and reporting.
- Collaborate with our CPA or external accounting firm as needed for year-end reporting.
Required Qualifications

10+ years of professional bookkeeping experience.

Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (including setting up new company files, chart of accounts, and automation rules).
- Demonstrated experience reconciling multiple bank and credit accounts.
- Deep understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with property management accounting (rental income, expenses, etc..)
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality; with an eye for catching errors or inconsistencies. Also a desire to clean up and organize the current books to make them easier to understand.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Experience working in the video game industry or with digital content publishers (royalty tracking, revenue splits, etc.).
- Knowledge of multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
- Comfort using Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive) and Slack for communication.
- Ability to generate clean monthly summaries and identify trends or anomalies in reports.
Schedule & Compensation
- Flexible remote schedule (approximately 20–40 hours per month)
