About our games studio
DreamCraft is the studio behind Adopt Me. At the time of writing our team includes 34 diverse and talented full-time team members working in-office or remotely across the world. We’re looking for candidates who are skilled, experienced, and want to help make Adopt Me and future game projects even bigger and even better.
We want you to
- Be curious, want to improve yourself and others
- Care deeply about our mission of creating best-in-class game content that kids will remember long into adulthood
- Take ownership of projects and be willing to lead
- Empathize deeply with others and believe our games can be vessels for social good
Responsibilities
- Lead our internal QA team, working to ship updates to our products with minimal bugs or issues.
- Write and coordinate manual and automated tests across development products. Build an environment where QA is embedded with Engineering, and central to all development.
- Work with Engineering and Production to build and deliver a roadmap for QA potentially including new tools, processes, and people. In short: make QA a better resource, a better team.
- Liaise with Communications and Engineering to improve the way we collect, file, track and resolve bug reports and other feedback.
- Mentor your QA team members, helping them grow and improve. Work with stakeholders to grow the team to meet our QA needs.
"Should Have" Traits
Candidate 'should have' most of these, but can make up for it in other areas. If you're missing some, consider applying anyway!
- 3+ Years of experience in QA-related roles. A proven track record of delivering quality QA work.
- 1+ Years experience in a QA-related leadership / management role.
- An understanding of Engineering, able to liaise with engineers and grow the QA team in an engineering-driven direction.
- Empathy and perspective. You are an excellent listener and are able to give and receive feedback in a candid but respectful way.
- Excellent communication skills, able to form positive relationships with all stakeholders.
- You excel in smaller teams and don’t want to be “micro-managed”. The freedom to make your own decisions about what to work on and how to work excites you.
- You value diversity and want to work alongside talented gender-expansive people, women, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC / BAME, and neuro-atypical people.
"Nice to Have" Traits
It's 'nice' for candidates to have these traits, but they aren't necessary to apply.
- Experience working with an international distributed / remote team, communicating online across time-zones using Slack and voice chat.
- We operate a large-scale online social F2P Roblox game (as a service). Experience doing QA work in any of these areas preferred.
- Experience working with localisation tools, localizing game content into non-English languages.
Compensation
Pay will be competitive and negotiable. Est. $45,000-60,000 USD / yr (paid monthly), based on your experience
