For several years we have inspired girls all around the world to be the hero of their own adventure. It's no secret that we keep working on exciting new products to make an impact on every girl’s life and that our organization is currently growing in so many ways. But as we keep growing, we need some of our current functions to meet the needs of a much bigger organization. One area that we are looking to grow is translations and we are now in need of a Translation Manager that can help us define improvements in the ways of working and scale up our translation process so we can continue to have a world-class language presence on all of our markets.
This will be a new function for us, so we are looking for someone that has led the way on a similar journey before and can help guide us. How do we automate translation processes? Do we need to update our tools? How can we continue to secure quality in our translations? We hope that you want to share that knowledge.
As a Translation Manager at Star Stable Entertainment, you will work hands-on with preparing and documenting internal translation requests and coordinate these with external translators. You will also be expected to analyze material (in-game texts, FAQ, marketing materials, social media posts and weekly game updates) and keep internal stakeholders updated on how to make translation requests. At the same time, you will work strategically on translation projects and build up a new function, eventually leading and managing the translation team which includes talent-planning, recruitment, onboarding, salary reviews, performance development conversations and offboarding. You will continuously define and prioritize the entire translation process to improve efficiency and reduce costs as well as create, maintain and update our style guides so they reflect all of our new products. Sounds exciting? We think so, and you might just be the person we are looking for!
We believe that the candidate we are looking for has a background in project management and most likely has built up a function in a similar role. With this previous experience, you bring in new perspectives and feel comfortable challenging existing processes. You take initiative and are innovative in your approach for how to grow the area and stay up to date within the field. Through communication, you can make the organization see why it’s so important to raise the quality in this area, and you also know how to inspire and motivate your team. As you will be leading a function and a team with multiple stakeholders, great leadership- and collaboration skills is a must. Since you will also be handling multiple projects and a lot of information, we think you have an eye for the really small details. Star Stable Entertainment is an English-speaking organization, so you should feel comfortable communicating in English and any additional languages will be considered a plus.
