Remote Indonesia
Stairway Games is opening four entry-level Playtester positions to help us shape and polish gameplay for Coral Island, especially focusing on our upcoming multiplayer (MP) experience. Stairway Games is a fully funded private company based in Bali with a remote and on-site team of 100+ talented individuals across Indonesia.
We released Coral Island in 2023 and Fungus Swarm earlier this year. You can learn more about us or our games on the Coral Island Steam page or our company website.
Unlike traditional QA who focus on breaking systems or deep technical testing, Playtesters will play the game like real players and highlight anything that feels off or inconvenient. You will also note bugs that naturally appear during normal gameplay. We’re looking for people who love these 3 category games: farming sims, game monster hunting, friendslop game, can notice small details and enjoy giving honest player-focused feedback.

- Play Coral Island (primarily multiplayer) for extended sessions using structured playthrough scenarios.
- Identify issues that impact fun, comfort, flow, or clarity during normal gameplay.
- Report minor bugs, awkward interactions, confusing moments, pacing issues, and UX inconveniences.
- Provide player-first feedback to help improve the overall experience.
- Follow reporting guidelines and collaborate with QA leads.
- Stick to assigned test paths rather than doing deep technical bug hunting.
Requirements
- Must LOVE farming simulation games (e.g. Coral Island, Stardew Valley, Story of Season, Harvest Moon, etc.), game monster hunting (e.g. Monster Hunter series), friendslop game.
- At least 100+ hours in farming sim and monster hunting, minimum 20 hours in friendslop (Steam profile and hours played will be checked).
- Strong attention to detail; able to notice small inconveniences or things that “feel off.”
- Comfortable playing games for long sessions and following structured scenarios.
- Can write clear notes and observations.
- Positive attitude, fast learner, and strong potential, experience not required.
- Naturally detail-oriented gaming habits.

- Any game testing experience (not required).
