Professor of Interactive Design & Game Development in Remote

SCAD seeks a Professor of Interactive Design and Game Development to encourage innovation and process development in their instruction, with an emphasis on practical concepts of the design profession.

The candidate should be flexible and able to guide students within the varying disciplines of interactive design or game development.

The ideal candidate has experience developing interactive media for professional clients and using the Blackboard learning management system. The candidate should be proficient in state-of-the-art software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and/or Maya, 3D Studio, ZBrush, Substance Designer, Unreal, or Unity. A background in programming and instructing programming languages, including C++, C#, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, or Python is a plus.

Professional-level visual art and design skills and experience are preferred, as is experience educating at the college level and developing online coursework. For interactive design applicants, familiarity with content management systems, mobile applications development and physical computing is also a significant plus.
