We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our team on a stylized anime action RPG / gacha title for PC and mobile, including controller support. Our game is story-driven with a strong combat focus, a third-person camera, and a structure built around a main lobby hub where players manage their inventory, team, and individual characters before entering level-based missions of roughly 15 minutes each.
Our visual and product direction is inspired by titles such as Digimon, Wuthering Waves, Arknights: Endfield, Zenless Zone Zero and Solo Leveling: Arise.
We are looking for someone who can take strong ownership over the full UI process, from early UX thinking and wireframes to polished mockups, motion concepts, and high-quality final interface assets.
Responsibilities
• Own the UI/UX design process across the game in close collaboration with design, programming, and art direction.
• Translate gameplay requirements, feature briefs, references, and visual goals into sketches, wireframes, user flows, mockups, and final UI designs.
• Help shape the UX of a cross-platform experience for PC, mobile, and console.
• Create UI that is not only visually appealing, but also highly readable, intuitive, and satisfying to use.
• Translate wireframes into polished interface concepts with strong motion design thinking, helping avoid static or lifeless UI presentation.
• Prepare clear handoff material and documentation so engineers can implement the UI efficiently.
• Contribute to a growing UI guideline / style guide document and support process documentation in parallel with production.
• Collaborate where needed with monetization-related design to create strong reward presentation and other high-impact interface moments.
Must-haves
• Professional experience as a UI Designer, UI/UX Designer, or similar role in the games industry.
• Strong understanding of readability, information hierarchy, layout clarity, and user experience principles.
• Strong modular thinking, with the ability to create scalable and reusable UI solutions that improve production efficiency while maintaining a compelling user experience.
• Experience creating wireframes, user flows, polished mockups, and production-ready UI documentation.
• Strong understanding of how to create interesting and juicy UI motion concepts that bring interfaces to life and support game feel.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in close collaboration with game designers, programmers, and art stakeholders.
• Experience building and maintaining a UI design system / style guide during production.
• Passion for creating the 2D UI elements and assets yourself, not only the layout and UX concept.
Nice-to-have
• Experience as a 2D artist for interface elements, icons, frames, panels, and other supporting visual assets.
• Experience with Unreal Engine UI workflows, especially:
• UMG
• Widget animations
• UI effect materials
• Ability to build UI layouts directly in Unreal's Widget Designer.
• Experience preparing motion references or implementation-oriented design documentation for engineers.
• Experience with reward presentation, monetization-related UI, or gacha-driven interface moments.
Tools
Our current design workflow includes Figma and Miro. We are open to candidates who bring additional tools into the process if they improve results and collaboration.
