Job DescriptionYou work closely with Cyber security team to gamify the hacking stories. You create cyber security games for mobile digital platforms. If you have innovative ideas and passion for game design, this job might be for you. This opportunity is offered as part of the Government of Canada’s Digital Skills for Youth Program.
- Develop game features and content for world class games
- Work on game systems, social features, and monetization
- Champion designs from initial pitch through implementation, launch, and evolution
- Work closely with game scenario designers and security specialists
- Use playtests, player feedback, and metrics to gain insights and refine the designs
Qualifications

Passionate about game development
- Professional experience in programming robust and efficient code
- Experience with design, document, and configure the game’s features
- Expert in C# (.net library knowledge is a plus)
- Expert in unity 2D and 3D, Unity UI (NGUI is a plus)
- Ability to work well with plugins in unity
- Experience with Git
- Experience with Unity Build System (iOS/Android &…)
- Familiar with agile development and clean code concepts
- Familiarity with Difficulty Curve Design and Learning Curve Design
- Design experience on at least one published mobile game is required.
- Demonstrated passion for game design shown through personal game projects
Other requirements
- Post-secondary graduates
- Underemployed (employed below their level of education or work part-time)
- Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the internship
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons granted refugee status in Canada
- Legally allowed to work according to the relevant provincial and Canadian legislation and regulations
- Not previous participants of the Digital Skills for Youth (DS4Y) program
