Happy Volcano is looking for a QA engineer to complement our QA team; to work on our current game “You Suck At Parking”, as well as future projects. You will work closely with the QA lead, Producer and the rest of the development team to deliver a high quality game experience for players around the world.
As a QA engineer you will find all kinds of ways to break the game. You will manage multiplayer test sessions and build QA reports for the team, highlighting critical or interesting issues.
You’ll be able to provide valuable insights to our game design team, shaping how You Suck At Parking plays. You will help to shape our QA processes and create friction free releases.
You will be a respected and crucial part of our team.
Responsibilities
- Test build stability on multiple devices and dev kits
- Review and test for platform specific certification requirements
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Identify, record, thoroughly document and track bugs
- We’re a small studio and value collaboration across teams and disciplines. You’ll be expected to work well with the whole team.
- You’ll be a proactive and positive contributor and support your team.
Requirements
- You have minimum 2-3 years of experience in QA in the gaming industry
- You have experience working on multiple platforms, including consoles
- You are familiar with the technical and creative aspects of the game development process
- You are familiar with the Bug Life cycle
- You’re an excellent communicator and fluent in English
- You are able to work full-time either in Belgium or from your country of residence
- You are able to work remotely during (or partly overlapping) core Central European Time
Nice to have
- Familiarity with build deployment tools used for consoles
- Familiarity with Jira and agile practices
