About the Role: We are seeking a full-time remote Lead Game Developer with strong networking engineering skills, deep knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, AWS Lambda, and extensive C++ experience. The ideal candidate should be able to lead and coordinate a team, ensuring high-quality game development.
Fractional Uprising Studio’s OpenSeason is a third-person shooter that integrates features connecting players to the contemporary internet economy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement game features using Unreal Engine 5.
- Lead and manage the game development team.
- Oversee project progress and ensure quality standards.
- Coordinate directly with senior management.
- Maintain and optimize game performance and user experience.
- Manage network infrastructure and integrate AWS services.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Unreal Engine development.
- Proficiency in C++ and generalist game development knowledge.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Experience with AWS, Lambda, and network engineering.
- High-quality references demonstrating previous project success.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA in Computer Science or similar field. Or the equivalent in years of experience.
- References in AAA game development or other high quality work history required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
- Must be a proactive individual who welcomes accountability.
