UI/UX Designers for VR Stealth Action Game

Digital Lode is an immersive media company located in the Docklands Cotton Mills, Footscray. We are a team of VR evangelists working on a variety of real time-rendered VR projects for all platforms, with a focus on standalone consumer VR.
Digital Lode’s primary focus is our original "Espire VR” franchise. Espire 1: VR Operative released in November 2019 and is a single player VR experience with a focus on stealth, espionage and action. It’s a consistent top seller on the Oculus Quest storefront, and we want to take that success to the next level.
We are expanding our team and are looking for experienced UI/UX Designers on a contract basis. We have grand plans for our Espire stealth franchise and are looking for someone to join the team to help work on assisting with balance, UX and UI design to help us create the ultimate VR Stealth experience.
Responsibilities
- Review our existing UI/UX and drive the improvement of it
- Design an intuitive and rewarding user experience for both experienced and first time users
- Design and create visually appealing UI assets (Menus, HUD elements, etc) that are in line with our design principles
- Create user friendly design for VR
- Working closely with the art and programming teams to implement UI elements such as menus and HUD.
- Collaborate with our designers to create a polished and compelling gameplay experience
- Gather active feedback from beta testers and community and make refinements accordingly
Requirements
- Ability to work within the requirements of mobile hardware
- Prior experience working with UI/UX design in games or a similar software field
Preference to applicants with:
- Prior experience designing for VR or working with VR titles
- Unreal engine 4 experience
- Shipped 1+ title for PC or Console
- Passionate for Stealth/action games
- Played our game Espire 1

Remuneration will depend on the experience of the successful candidate, Ideally full time, but potential for flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
This role is open to international candidates working remotely or on-site in our Footscray office.
